Friday Fashion Fetish: Feet and the Summer Shoe

stay fashionable

I may kind of really have a shoe fetish. Shhh, it’s fine; I’m working on it. But really though, I’m pretty sure I’m just your average girl. At least your average girl that enjoys style. I am a FULL believer in retail therapy (and let me tell ya, I need a lot of therapy these days). Lately I’ve been doing this thing where I fill up my online shopping cart, and then quickly abandon it before allowing myself to purchase anything.

This week on Friday Fashion Fetish, I’m posting some of my favorite shoes I’ve stalked online – (and they’re all on sale!) I love shit on sale. I’ll pretty much buy anything on sale. A quick way to feel thrifty: go shop at the Anthropologie sale section and then see how much you’ve saved. I mean, maybe I’ll only wear this skirt once but I SAVED $58! Or go somewhere like Nordstrom Rack. I bought a Free People rain jacket for less than $30. Maybe it’ll rain someday in Austin.

But enough about me, this is about shoes.

Resident Platform Heel by Free People: These platform heels have been sitting in my cart for over 2 weeks. They are quickly running out of sizes, so I suggest you jump on it if you love them. I tend to only buy heels that are 5″, so these fit my absurd criteria. To me, the colors make this shoe a style that can carry over into the fall. My only hesitation is the suede – I tend to be a little tough on my shoes; however, the price makes up for it. Plus, they have this amazing Mod inspired look that makes me think of how amazing my mother dressed in the 60s. Was $148 Now $49.95

Diandra by Steve Madden: I might actually have to go through with this Steve Madden purchase. I am obsessing over these sandals – I love the simple zipper in the back (quick to put on, because I’d really rather be barefoot in the summer) and the turquoise detail is fantastic. I’m drawn to anything this color so it was an automatic add-to-cart decision. Was $69 Now $47.90

Effie Neon Pump: These neon leather pumps are amazing. Add a splash of color to any outfit – transcending summer style. I’d love to pair these in the winter with my black bomber jacket and skinny jeans. Neon can be a big fashion decision, but I love that these are bright and fun without screaming “GIMME ALL THE ATTENTION.” Was $145 Now $72.50

Ferytale by Steve Madden: I love anything strappy/gladiator for the summer. If you’re not the biggest fan of heels, I think these make a fine substitute if you want a look that’s a little more fun and formal. I’m usually wary of rhinestones, but I find these really fun. Was $129.95 Now $39.99

Stone Heel by Faryl Robin: Love these chunky two-toned leather heels with stud detailing. I think I need them. They’re available exclusively through Anthropologie. Was $158 Now $49.95

Bow’n Places Heel in Blue by ModCloth: These dolled up Mary Janes are adorable. Nice for those who like a small heel, but gravitate toward the girly styles. If I didn’t work from home, I’d definitely be purchasing these for the office.  They’re still a bit pricey, but oh-so-very-cute  Was $129.99 Now $90.99

Happy shopping!

  • I need neon pumps for Scotland, right? Yes, clearly. BRB shopping.

By the way, shoe fetishes are genetic. You could fill an entire parish in Louisiana with the shoes the women in our family own.
