Ever since it made its grand arrival to Netflix, a newfound appearance of followers has joined the GG crowd. As cheesy as it sounds, it has been my favorite show since sixth grade. The wit of the fast-talking ladies caught my eye. Many of the pop culture references were over my head at that age, but now I can appreciate depth and diversity of them. Amy Sherman-Palladino pulled out all the stops to bring in references from across the ages.
1. Fun Flask
This gem of a flask came from an action-packed episode during the explosion at the Harvard-Yale game. Richard and Emily pulled out a Fun Flask filled with alcohol to cheer in the day. We heard the Whiffenpoofs, barked with immortalized Handsome Dan, and met Lorelai’s “almost mommy.”
2. In Omnia Paratus Poster
I bought this poster months ago for my office as an ode to my GG gals. Not only does it reference the Latin phrase meaning “ready for all things,” but it also has a neat, sneaky graphic execution of the umbrella jumping scene in one of my favorite episodes featuring Logan and the Life and Death Brigade.
3. “Babette Ate Oatmeal” T-shirt
I squealed slightly when I discovered that someone actually printed these t-shirts. It’s difficult to rate the ridiculous antics of Kirk. He definitely didn’t make any money on these in the actual show, but now GG fans ironically want to buy into his foolish antics.
4. “I Would Rather Be In Stars Hollow” license plate
Even before I had a car or a learner’s permit, my dear Auntie and cousin gave into my love for the show and bought me this license car plate. Now that my aunt has since passed, I feel the love from her everywhere I drive.
5. Coffee Mug from Luke’s
Coffee coffee coffee! Luke first embodies the curmudgeon giver of coffee for the Gilmore Girls and ends up being one of the show’s most beloved characters. We will see what his future holds in November’s revival.
6. Oy with the Poodles Already Pin
“Oy with the Poodles Already” exists as one of the most treasured quotes of the show. It’s one of the most ridiculous phrases that result from the chatter of Lorelai and Rory. Viewers could probably start a collection of Gilmore-ism buttons.
7. “I am going to make out in the coat room. Don’t eat my chicken.” Pendant
This ranks as one of my favorite Gilmore Girls quotes. Lorelai and Richard’s business partner, Jason, are secretly dating so they must sneak off during an event. Plus, we all know Lorelai loves to eat. Who says you can’t have it all?
8. GG Throw
Retailers will literally make anything Gilmore Girls related including watches, flip flops and ornaments. This awesome throw lets you snuggle up with the cast.
9. Cookbook
The Eat Like a Gilmore Cookbook started as a kickstarter campaign, and now a publisher has picked up the book to be released this October. Until then, check out LD’s guide to eating like a Gilmore at Luke’s.
10. Stars Hollow Candle
Now you can have the pleasant smell of Stars Hollow as you watch the show. I am about to pre-order this vegan soy candle and enjoy it as I binge-watch the show in anticipation for November. Feel like you are eating a marathon of Thanksgiving meals as you walk among maple leaves whenever you smell this candle.

12. Miss Patty Greeting Card
Saucy Miss Patty arguably has the best lines in the show behind the Gilmores. I will forever have an image of her whirling around and saying “Hello Sailor” as she spins in circles. She has an openness with her sexuality that other characters lack that makes her stand out.
