How to Make More Of Your Outfits and Feel Your Best

Fashion is the one thing that we can all hold on to, no matter how old we are, what is going on in our lives and even what time of the year it is, we can always feel good because of the clothes we wear and how we style them. Now that we enter summer, there is a lot more emphasis on the clothes that we wear and we all want to take the opportunity to look and feel our best. Many of us have been doing a lot of staying home recently because of the COVID-19 outbreak, and so you may be more accustomed to your loungewear sets than anything else. But things are starting to change.

Restrictions are being lifted and we are getting more opportunities to go out and live our normal lives once more, so now is the perfect opportunity to inject some personality and life back into our wardrobes. To put away the loungewear and start embracing our style once more. With that in mind, here are some of the ways that we can make more of our outfits and style.

Hats

You can embrace a hat no matter what time of the year is. You may wear hats regularly, or you might be a little frightened of the prospect. A hat can set the tone for a whole outfit. For example, a trilby hat could give your outfit an edgier look. Whereas a summery straw hat could give a more pretty feel to your outfit. A winter hat serves a purpose and can still make an outfit look cute. There are many hats to consider throughout the year. So you could let your creativity shine through. Hats are often an accessory that many avoid, but why not try and give one a go today and see how different it could make your outfit look? It is all about experimenting. In a way, that’s what fashion is all about.

Scarves

You may think that the time has gone to be wearing scarves with the weather improving. But scarves don’t have to be woollen or thick. A perfect spring or summer scarf will be a lighter material. Perhaps with a lovely floral pattern or bright block of colour. A scarf can drape over any outfit in the spring and even a cooler summer day to give a softer touch. Scarves also work well to add a layer to an outfit, so even if the weather is still a little cooler, this accessory works well.

Jewelry

As the British weather changes, it means we hopefully won’t have to be wrapped up in coats or jumpers anymore. So Spring is the perfect opportunity to showcase some new statement jewelry. A necklace can turn a plain top into something quite spectacular, for example. However, even in the cooler months, you can still rock certain jewelry to enhance an outfit. It might be statement earrings, or different areas of your body being pierced like the nose area. Heading to jewelers in your local area to find something that could work well for you. Often you don’t want statement jewelry but items you can wear everyday, which is fine, but don’t be afraid to try something new.

Sunglasses

With brighter and warmer weather approaching it means you can get the shades out, even if the temperature is still low, the sun is likely to be making more of an appearance. Whether you go for a real statement look or something less bold now’s the time to model them with pride. Of course, you don’t have to be over dramatic if you don’t want to be. The best advice is to try on as many pairs as you can and see what suits your face and style. They can really be a glamorous addition to your outfit and a great way to disguise tired eyes if you are a little more sleepy than usual.

Handbags

A handbag can make a big difference to an outfit. You could think about using a different style of bag. Perhaps a shoulder bag or even a rucksack style. Brighter colours and lighter shades are more welcomed during the warmer months. Of course, you may not be able to change the style of bag you have. Perhaps you use it for work. Or it needs to be big enough to house things like an iPad or laptop. But there will be times where you could try something new.

Let’s hope this little guide will help you get the most out of your accessories.
